About utils-us
utils-us is a collection of ten practical browser tools for time, calculations, text and PDF printing. The tools run locally in your browser and do not require an account. Your tool inputs are not sent to a processing server.
Start with the tool directory to find a timer, calculator, text utility or PDF tiling tool. Optional analytics and advertising controls are explained in Privacy.
PDF to Letters
PDF to Letters helps you print a large PDF page on a standard US Letter printer. It is useful for a poster, drawing or template that needs to keep a chosen physical size across several sheets.
How the tiles are made
The tool reads the selected page's visible boundary and rotation, applies your chosen proportional scale, then divides the result into overlapping regions. Each region becomes a portrait or landscape Letter page. An optional set of marks and instructions helps you assemble them in order.
Exports embed the original PDF page content rather than a screenshot of the preview. Vector artwork stays vector; raster images keep the detail available in the original. The screen preview uses PDF.js, and the output PDF is generated with pdf-lib.
What to check before printing
One PDF page is tiled at a time, up to 200 output sheets. The tool keeps width and height proportional and supports Letter paper only. It does not edit the source artwork or recover content already outside the PDF's visible page boundary.
Printing at a known size requires both a correctly sized PDF and the right printer settings. Use the calibration sheet and the scale-checking steps before printing a complete set. Screen size does not establish physical accuracy.
Your files
PDF processing and download generation happen in your browser. The tool does not upload selected PDFs to a conversion server. See Privacy for the details, including the hosting platform and optional browser-assistant tools.
